box[ur]shorts™ Film Festival winners will pick up $7,000 in prizes sponsored by Showbiz Software Stores, Write Brothers, AVID, FUJIFILM and Hollywood-based subtitling company Cinetyp. Chosen by our distinguished panel of judges, the finalist filmmakers will be honored at the annual awards night in Los Angeles and handed their prizes along with the notorious box[ur]shorts trophies.
“It is great to be able and offer another lineup of awards and valuable prizes to the filmmakers in competition. We are especially grateful to Cinetyp and their continued support of our festival. This year they offer a significant in-kind sponsorship for the 1st place winner to get the movie subtitled and thus ready to be viewed across the world by a wider audience.” says Giacun Caduff, festival director.
Winners are invited to join the film festival Awards Night on January 10th, 2009 at the historic New Beverly Cinema where they receive the trophies and prizes after a countdown screening of the top 10 short film finalists.
