Another fabulous January is in sight for short filmmakers! Just a week prior to the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, three lucky winners can pick up the proper underwear to shine at the festival in Park City, UT. Besides the notorious Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies, box[ur]shorts™ will give out $7,000 in prizes.

Showbiz Software, Write Brothers, FUJIFILM, Cinetyp, Blake Snyder and AVID are back on board to honor the box[ur]shorts™ Film Festival winners with prizes worth $7,000. The winners are invited to join the film festival Awards Night on January 9th, 2010 at the historic New Beverly Cinema where they receive the trophies and prizes after a countdown screening of the top 10 short film finalists.

“This is our 4th annual awards night and a special year of transition where we will start screening the short films AFTER they premiere in January at our awards night. It was an anticipated change of strategy where we can announce the movies big before distributing them in our jukebox network.” says Giacun Caduff, festival director.

As a consequence from the programming change, the box[ur]shorts™ Audience Choice Award will be given away after the yearlong screening in 2011 after the viewers votes have been collected.
