Four talented filmmakers picked up early Christmas presents at the first annual box[ur]shorts™ Film Festival awards night. The jury, headed by actor Joel David Moore (Dodgeball, Art School Confidential), chose Kerrie Scher's drama "Dreamlike" as the receipient of the Golden box[ur]shorts™ trophy in a ceremony held at Karma Coffeehouse in Hollywood.
53 short filmmakers tried to get their hands on the coveted Golden, Silver and Bronze undies which were designed by MG Mode Switzerland for the film festival competition. Four lucky winners' dream came true:
"As a filmmaker it is gratifying to know that so many people have seen my art and having it honored with the award means so much to me." winner Kerrie Scher mentions during her acceptance speech. The finalist short films were presented in a giant box[ur]shorts jukebox the festival constructed for the awards night. Guests were also able to interact with the regular festival jukeboxes inside Karma Coffeehouse all while enjoying free food and drinks provided by festival sponsors Little Penguin, Budweiser, and Primex Farms.

"It's actually happening!" were the opening words of festival founders Giacun Caduff and Ryan Reichenfeld before they handed the microphone to Lendi Slover to moderate the show. "I'm really thrilled to present Swiss musician Mario Pacchioli on stage who happened to be in town and spontaneously agreed to perform a few songs" Giacun later told the press.
The awards night at Karma Coffeehouse also served as the kick-off party for a brand new box[ur]shorts™ jukebox location in the heart of Hollywood. The competing short films will play at Karma 24/7 and all-year-long.
