Jukebox on display for young Swiss film directors

A festival with a lot of charm! The 2nd annual "Alley" Film Festival in Basel will feature a box[ur]shorts jukebox on display. Swiss festival goers and the local short filmmakers are able to enjoy our movies after the walk over the red carpet.

Our digital prototype jukebox makes a guest appearance at the 2nd Basler Gässli Film Festival. The event is dedicated to young filmmakers from the region and offers them a platform to showcase their movies to a wider audience. The screenings take place in the middle of the City of Basel, on a square that can only be accessed by waking through picturesque alley ways. Hence the festival's name.

Besides the new talent's short films, the festival invites a established filmmaker as their guest who gives the youngsters first-hand advice how to go about hitting the big time. This year, Oscar-winning director Xavier Koller comes and attends all festival events. During a panel entitled "Cinema or YouTube", box[ur]shorts will be an example of an innovative project to deliver short film content to the audience.

This is the second time for us to partner up with another festival. A selection of shorts from Gässli Film Festival will be part of the 2011 box[ur]shorts Film Festival and can be viewed on our clip site. We are scheduled to be in Den Haag, The Netherlands, at Shoot Me Film Festival in October where we'll unveil a brand-new jukebox! Rumor has it that it's at least 2 meters in height. Stay tuned...

About box[ur]shorts™
