Indie director and box[ur]shorts™ finalist Jeff Mizushima who is currently filming his hamster epic "Etienne!" will feature a festival jukebox in his latest movie. The festival will travel with production to Santa Cruz and the surrounding state parks to install a jukebox and provide a pair of box[ur]shorts undies!

Following the success of the inaugural  box[ur]shorts™ Film Festival, the festival today announces $5,000 of new awards and prizes offered to winners of the 2007 event.  Filmmakers can enter their shorts online with a rolling deadline. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in January 2008.

Four talented filmmakers picked up early Christmas presents at the first annual box[ur]shorts™ Film Festival awards night. The jury, headed by actor Joel David Moore (Dodgeball, Art School Confidential), chose Kerrie Scher's drama "Dreamlike" as the receipient of the Golden box[ur]shorts™ trophy in a ceremony held at Karma Coffeehouse in Hollywood.

From cave paintings to the printing press, from movie theatres to television, and from youtube to the iPod, stories have always been presented via seminal media outlets that improve the connection between the storyteller and the audience. box[ur]shorts™ is a yearlong short film exhibition taking place inside movie jukeboxes at restaurants, bars, coffee houses and laundromats in cities from Los Angeles to Park City and New York to Basel, Switzerland.
