selection process:
Your film will be viewed by the festival programmers, who will notify you whether or not your short will be considered to play in the competition.
notification:
box[ur]shorts™ Film Festival will notify you in an email about the acceptance. Upon receiving the good news, make sure to send your exhibition copy along with a trailer to the festival within ten days.
screening in the box:
Your movie will screen in the festival boxes during one of the following quarterly programs:
- Winter program
- Spring program
- Summer program
- Fall program

This means that your film will show 10 or more times a day in multiple locations around the world during three months! The idea is to bring your film to the audience at places where they have time to watch.

screening on the website:

Your movie will also stream and be archived on the official festival website. You are free to use this service or not, it’s up to you. At all times, a teaser/trailer will be in place on the internet to give people a sneak preview. We now also offer podcasts that you can benefit from if you'd like.

award night:
A panel of judges will determine the finalists from all movies in competition and rank them for our countdown screening at the annual event. It’s time to celebrate! The following awards are given to the winners (view the awards/prizes):
  • Golden box[ur]shorts™ Award (1st place)
  • Silver box[ur]shorts™ Award (2nd place)
  • Bronze box[ur]shorts™ Award (3rd place)
  • box[ur]shorts™ Best Student Film Award
  • box[ur]shorts™ Audience Choice Award
a new kind of film festival:

The bottom line is that we want to provide a new and more suitable venue for short films. While a any other festival will screen your film in a one-time/one-night screening where most likely your crew, cast, friends and family will make up 90% of the audience, box[ur]shorts Film Festival aims to give you maximum exposure at multiple locations where a new audience can enjoy your magic. Send us your films... We can’t wait to work with you!
